Blog writing – how to write one every week

on February 24, 2015
You know you have to do it. You know you should do it. But c’mon who has the time, energy, patience, skills, resources, etc to write a blog every single week?
Well, I want to share a very valuable piece of information with you when it comes to blog writing.
If you are having trouble with the above. This is a recipe for success.
You. Will. Love. It.

Here it is.

Rewrite what you have already done.

There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. If you have a list of blogs that you have already written, then it is a much easier way of writing for the web.

Of course, it can’t be duplicate content – no one likes that. But you can add new info to an old blog such as:

  • Case studies
  • Testimonials
  • Fast facts
  • Tips and tricks
  • Statistics
  • Infographics
  • Stories
  • Song lyrics
  • Videos…the list in endless!

It is truly the best piece of advice I can give you from a content writer’s point of view when it comes to blog writing. I know it can be time consuming when you running your own website and writing a blog every week can just be more hassle than it’s worth.

I don’t see it like that because I love writing, so writing a blog every week for me is like being a kid in a candy shop (PS – sometimes I’m naughty and miss a week here and there, so don’t beat yourself up too much).

But it just doesn’t have to be hard. Have a list of topics ready to go and then simply rework and reword them. If you’re struggling with putting together a list…voila.
